How it works for Non-Profits
We provide the iBreastExam system
We provide the iBreastExam scanner, an Android mobile phone with our app, and all accessories FOR FREE to all participating non-profits.
You only fundraise for the scans
You raise funds which buy you expendable sensor cartridges loaded with scans. Each scan costs $12 and we can load up to 100 scans on one cartridge.
You provide free scans
Once you receive your cartridges, you can provide free scans to your community - either through your own programs or through your partner(s).

Which Non-Profits can participate?
Non-profits working on breast health for underserved and un(der)-insured women in the US, either on a state or national level, are welcome to participate.

Non-profits should have
the ability to fundraise (access to existing and potential donors, registration as a 501(c)(3) organization)
access to patients (either directly or via partner clinics)
While we are open to any breast health non-profits (after all, every breast cancer death is one too many!), we especially invite non-profits that work with minority groups, young women, or women with dense breasts.

All non-profits have to be approved by UE LifeSciences prior to participation.
What does iBreastExam contribute?
To ensure that the iBreastExam is accessible to all non-profits that want to participate, we provide each non-profit with the scanning device, an Android mobile phone with the iBreastExam app, and all the accessories FOR FREE.

Our scanner works with expendable sensor cartridges, which are pre-programmed for a certain amount of scans (usually 100 scans per cartridge). We provide these sensor cartridges at a special price of $12 per scan / 1,200 per full cartridge to all participating non-profits.

To participate, you need to raise funds for at least 400 scans, i.e. a minimum of $4,800.

On top of that, we will promote the campaign on our social media channels to raise awareness for all ongoing fundraising campaigns.
What do I have to contribute?
You only need to raise funds for the expendable sensor cartridges, which come pre-programmed with up to 100 scans at $12 per scan. This means that for every $1,200 you fundraise, we will send you a sensor cartridge pre-loaded with 100 scans.

In order to participate, you need to raise funds for at least 400 scans, i.e., a minimum of $4,800.

It's up to you, where and when to use these scans. You can use them in your own programs or provide them to one of your partner clinics.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. You don't pay any fees or take any financial risk when joining the campaign.
Once your fundraising is concluded, you will receive as many scans as you have raised funds for.

There is however a minimum of $4,800 (which will buy you 400 scans at $12 each) that you have to fundraise to receive the device and the mobile phone for free. If you don't reach this amount, you are not obliged to buy any sensor cartridges from us.
What's the duration of the fundraising campaign?
It's up to you, how long and up to which amount you want to fundraise. Once you conclude your fundraising campaign and have reached the minimum amount of $4,800, we will send you the scanner, mobile phone with our app and charging accessories for free, along with as many sensor cartridges as you have fundraised for.
What happens after I have used all the scans?
Once you have used all scans, you can dispose of the empty sensor cartridges, but you can keep the scanner and mobile phone. If you want to continue providing iBreastExams, you can buy new sensor cartridges from us at the same price at any time.
