Breast Health Check-up for the women working at Parliament

· Event

It was our honor to serve those who are

always at our service.

Breast Cancer Awareness Program was organized on Wednesday, 8th August, 2018 at the Parliament Building. The event took place in the Main Lecture Hall BPST, First Floor, Parliament Library Building, New Delhi, in collaboration with India Turns Pink. All female members of Lok Sabha were invited to attend the awareness program.

As a part of this awareness program, breast health check up using iBreastExam was also conducted. The event was very well attended and included members of Lok Sabha as well as the female staff working there.

"It's truly a privilege to be invited to the Indian Parliament and to be of service to the public servants."

- Mihir Shah, Founder UE Lifesciences

Screening took place in the coffee room of the Parliament building where 100+ women were screened, out of which 8 women were identified with a positive finding and duly counseled for further course of action. Women of all ages welcomed iBreastExam test with great enthusiasm and found the breast health check to be painless and comfortable.

To our delight everyone was inquisitive of iBreastExam and mentioned that the device should be made publicly available to enable awareness amongst women.
Female attendees who got screening done were keen on knowing more about iBreastExam locations so that they can get check-ups done in future.

Mrs. Neerja Malik who is a breast cancer survivor herself was also there to counsel women on breast cancer and ways to prevent it. This awareness session turned out a huge success and was well appreciated by all ladies of Parliament including our Honourable Speaker Smt. Sumitra Mahajan, who also attended screening.
